MISSION and VISION
"Our vision is to continue serving God and Christ in spirit, in truth and by living in the newness of life. We will serve as instruments in enlightening and edifying those that our Lord God will call into the small remnant (Isaiah 1:8-9 NKJV) who will continue to be the true members of the Church of Christ."
Amos: God’s Remnant, the Tekoan Farmer
Who is Amos? He was a shepherd and farmer from Tekoa, Judah whom our God called to give warning to the people and leaders of Israel. It is unique, Amos is not a "professional" prophet nor a prophet’s son who made his living by making religious pronouncements. He was a farm laborer saying what he's been asked to say from the Lord. Why did Amos say he did not go to the School of the Prophets just for a livelihood?
Like Apostle Paul, we must have the mind of Christ so that Christ can instruct us, He can teach us if we have His mind. Apostle Paul is the perfect example, he has the mind of Christ, it follows therefore that Apostle Paul received the instruction from Christ. He was able to preach and follow the teachings of Christ because he got the mind of the Lord. What is the reason why the mind is the one mentioned in the verse if we want to be instructed by Christ?

What do the Scriptures mean when it refers to a remnant? The remnant is a survivor who returns to God after the Lord gave His judgment to people due to the willful pride of heart. The remnant is also a seed. [Isa. 10:20-21, 17-18; Isa. 1:8-9 Douay-Rheims]. It is true that in the eyes of many people a remnant is considered as worthless, but God gives high value to those whom He had set apart for a purpose. The remnant is not an institution, but individuals scattered in various places. It is a virtue, a trait or quality. Whoever, whatever, and wherever he is, if he obeys God’s teachings, he is a remnant
